Founder and sole engineer of breakouts.trade: a browser drill app and daily scanner for a breakout trading strategy, and the Python research engine and live execution robot behind it, all as the repositories' only contributor.

Key Achievements
  • ▸Built a browser drill app for breakout patterns and a daily scanner on the same strategy code: 458 signups, ~240 activated users, 10,203 practice drills
  • ▸Reviewed all 67 API route handlers and middleware in June 2026, found a credentials path that accepted a password as proof of Google identity, and fixed and re-verified it
  • ▸Hand-wrote 22 idempotent SQL migrations and 13 row-level-security policies with no ORM, and gated every pull request on type-check, lint, tests and build
  • ▸Replaced a stock-metadata cold path that fanned out ~18,000 storage reads and timed out on every cold start with one precomputed artifact, and added a test that proves the fan-out is gone
  • ▸Shipped an Interactive Brokers robot that has traded real money since June 2026: systemd units, a kill switch, broker-versus-journal reconciliation every five minutes and a heartbeat that names the running commit
  • ▸Backtested 66,753 trades, 1998–2026, survivorship-free, and ran the 2024–2026 holdout once at mean R = 2.61

AI Infrastructure Researcher

LLM Energy Benchmark

Initiated and built a measurement pipeline for the energy cost of LLM API usage, ingesting and cleaning large conversation datasets, replaying the extracted prompts against several hosted models, and recording power draw with CodeCarbon while engineering 30+ linguistic features per prompt.

Key Achievements
  • ▸Measurement scope: the CodeCarbon tracker runs on the local client during each remote API call, so it captures client-side power draw across the request window, not provider-side inference energy, which these APIs do not expose
  • ▸Result was null: across 20,709 measured API calls spanning three models, no prompt characteristic predicted client-side energy, with the strongest correlation at r = 0.027 (prompt length in characters)
  • ▸Request duration dominated the measurement (r = 0.44), which is the expected behavior for a client-side tracker and explains the absent prompt-feature signal
  • ▸The negative result runs against the project's original hypothesis and is reported as such
